PATSY CLINE COSTUME GALLERY

These were among the Patsy Cline-relatled items sadly auctioned by Cline family members
at auction in New York on November 18, 2003

Patsy's blue cowgirl costume ~ adorned with white fringe, rhinestones and white stars - worn on Washington, D.C.'s Town & Country Jamboree TV show and in numerous parades, including 1956's Winchester, VA Shenandoah Apple Blossom Festival. Designed and crafted by Patsy's Mom, Hilda Hensley.

Patsy's red cowgirl costume ~ adorned with rhinestone-studded white fringe and felt wagon wheels and (barely visible) steer head.
Designed and crafted by Patsy's Mom, Hilda Hensley.

PATSY CLINE DRESS ~ Mauve wool dress with silver- colored leather musical notes. In photo (right), the deteriorated color negative accounts for seemingly different color. Another of master seamstress Hilda Hensley's work.

Honky Tonk Angel author Ellis Nassour at Christie's
invitation-only auction preview with Patsy's "Kelly" green
cowgirl costume with white fringe and music notes.
Outfit designed and crafted by Mrs. Hensley.

HARD TO BELIEVE:
COUNTRY SUPERSTAR MARTY STUART FOUND THE BARGAIN OF A LIFETIME AT A 2003 TENNESSEE GARAGE SALE:

PATSY CLINE'S MAKE-UP LUGGAGE CASE : PRICE == $75.00 !!!!
Inside Patsy had scribbled:
Property of Patsy Cline

Patsy's elegant royal blue linen  sleeveless dress, purchased in New York, with blue lace bodice and rhinestones. Worn in January, 1957 while there
for CBS-TV's Arthur Godfrey's Talent Scouts, and in photo taken in Winchester by Rush Studios.

Patsy navy blue cotton outfit, still vividly beautiful, trimmed with gold metallic ribbon. Designed and crafted by Hilda Hensley.

Peach Western outfit, with pink rhinestones and (hardly visible) wool '45 RPM records' stitched with Patsy song titles: "Walkin' After Midnight," "Come On In" and "A Poor Man's Roses." Circa 1956, by Mrs. Hensley.

Patsy's slightly crumbled but elegant black hat worn in one of
author Ellis Nassour's favorite Patsy photos: her final Nashville
appearance at radio station WSM the day before leaving for
New Orleans, Birmingham and the Kansas City benefits.

White Western hat with stitching and black and white ribbon. Scribbled inside: Patsy Cline 1954. Patsy's
cousin Patricia Brannon said this was one of Patsy's favorite hats and she
wore it with her "red cowgirl" outfit.

Patsy's incredibly dedicated "No. 1" fan,
Staten Island, NY resident Alice Bray with
Patsy's Western hat. "Hoss" Alice broke down
in tears at the prospect of not having these
items honor Patsy's legacy in a museum.

Patsy's white boots with Cuban heels, with "Patsy Cline" stitched on the straps the Town & Country Jamboree, 1956.
